Young Scientist Camp: In the beginning... It is a good place to start, but many young Christians don't really know much about the beginning, at least not the Biblical perspective. Join us for our very popular Young Scientist camps and explore science as you have never done before. Brian Young, noted scholar, lecturer, author, and creation expert will lead this five-day long program. Each day of the week will reflect one day of creation as reported in Genesis 1. For groups of students, we will extend a free registration to one teacher for every 10 students. Adults transporting campers or attending camp are welcome at a rate of $125.  This does not include any program costs.  Register now! Dates: June 13-18; June 27-July 2. 	Christ Serve Ranch Servant Events Come and help us build the first environmental learning center focused on science from a Christian perspective. Tasks will include building observation decks, docks, trails, tearing down old fences, putting up new corrals, demolishing old buildings, putting in signage and more. If the property is not purchased by next summer, other similar tasks will be used. Christ ServeSM Training Camp: Christ Serve Leadership Training provides youth with a unique opportunity to be trained in leadership skills , then put those skills into practice. Young people who would like to someday be on staff at Lutheran Island Camp should attend this program. We seek to identify, inspire, develop, and train young leaders for life-long service in the church and in their communities. Dates: June 10-15 (3:00 p.m. Thursday through Tuesday at Noon) Ages: 14 and older Rate: $150 (the cost of the camp is underwritten by donors to Lutheran Island Camp) Deposit Amount: $75 To register on-line, click here. 	Preparing for College Statistics tell us that 80% of young people will drift away from their faith by the time they have completed college. Often it is because their core beliefs are challenged day in and day out by professors who know how to ridicule and make fun of Christian beliefs. This is especially true in the area of science. This weekend event will be led by Brian Young. Brian will provide resources and information needed by young people so that they can faithfully reflect their Christian values and beliefs. Creation Safari Weeks God created the heavens and the earth! And, we want His children to see these miracles. These week long camps for 3-6th grade children will allow them to see nature from a perspective that celebrates the Creator. The kids will have activities including excavation of animal bones, “hunts” for animals, flowers, and special plants; trapping of insects, rodents, and microscopic pond inhabitants; orienteering, Bible study focusing on creation and messianic prophecy; campfires, fishing, sports, astronomy, and crafts that are “creative”. 	Photography and Arts Week: Join us for one of the most beautiful and creative weeks you will ever experience. This time of year is a perfect time for flora and fauna photography. We’ll help you find rare flowers, newborn deer, newly hatched geese and turkeys as well as lots of other birdlife. You’ll see some of the most fantastic scenery at the Island, Christ Serve Ranch, Glendalough State Park, area farms, and other areas known for its scenery. We’ll be led by a professional photographer.  Dates: June 6-11 Ages: 12 and older Rates: $225 per person for the full week or $50 a day.
Special Adventure Horse Camp: This year we will be having a very special Horse Camp event when we travel to a working ranch. We’ll be putting more information on the website as it becomes available.
